Regretfully with great personal sadness I have to share the news of Steve’s passing via this extract from Pauline Morin’s Facebook post:
It is with the heaviest heart that we, Steve’s family, have to tell you that the ‘Superman’ passed away in the early hours today (2nd April), peacefully and with all of us beside him. We’ve lived with the prostate cancer for 3 1/2 years and in that time tried where possible to continue living our lives on our terms. However, the major stroke in January had other ideas and our guy has been on a gradual decline since.
The staff at NGH are amazing, especially those in Allebone who looked after Steve so valiantly. Thank you to all our friends and family who took time to visit him in hospital and all those who supported me in these trying weeks.
Of course we are heartbroken but at peace now. Forever in our hearts.
The funeral arrangements are: 3pm on Tuesday 21st April at the Nene Valley Crematorium, 305 Doddington Road Wellingborough, Northamptonshire NN8 2NX
The wake will follow at Steve’s second club, Northampton Old Scouts RFC. All are very welcome to join Pauline, their wonderful triplets and his dear brother Gary for further celebaration of Steve’s great life.
